Judge Denies Milagro Gramz Subpoena Request in Ongoing Megan Thee Stallion Case
Judge Denies Milagro Gramz Subpoena Request in Megan Thee Stallion Case
Megan Thee Stallion has scored another legal victory in her defamation lawsuit against blogger Milagro Gramz.
According to an exclusive report from AllHipHop’s Grouchy Greg Watkins, U.S. Magistrate Judge Lisette M. Reid rejected Gramz’s last-minute motion to subpoena Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez and Megan’s former friend Kelsey Harris. The ruling came just ahead of a critical case deadline, with Judge Reid stressing the importance of adhering to the court’s schedule.
“Defendant’s request is even more troubling in light of trial fast approaching in November and the undersigned’s previous warning to the parties on the importance of adhering to case deadlines,” Judge Reid stated.
Gramz’s legal team argued that Perez and Harris should be deposed due to their connection to the 2020 shooting involving Tory Lanez. However, the judge pointed out that Gramz had ample time to pursue their testimony earlier in the process.
“Defendant has known of these witnesses since 2020, and, at the very least, has known of their purported importance to this case since its inception in October 2024. This begs the question of why Defendant was seeking discovery from them just days before the already extended discovery deadline,” the court order read.
Megan Thee Stallion filed suit against Gramz in 2024, claiming the blogger spread false and damaging information online regarding the Lanez shooting case. The trial is currently scheduled to begin on November 17, 2025.
Earlier filings in the Southern District of Florida revealed a lengthy list of possible witnesses, including Jason Lee, Carl Crawford, Tory Lanez and his father, Joe Budden, and even Kylie Jenner.
Tory Lanez was convicted in 2022 of shooting Megan in the foot after a party at Jenner’s Los Angeles home. The following year, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Despite his conviction, the Canadian rapper continues to maintain his innocence.
