Joe Budden has offered a new perspective on the Megan Thee Stallion shooting incident, suggesting that Megan might have been a “pawn” in a larger scheme.

Earlier this week, a statement from Tory Lanez’s former driver, Jauquan Smith, emerged. In his statement, Smith claimed he didn’t witness Megan being shot but alleged that he saw Kelsey Harris, Megan’s former best friend, take a gun away from Lanez. This revelation sparked a discussion on The Joe Budden Podcast, where Budden shared his intriguing theory.

Budden speculated that Lanez was set up, although he doesn’t believe Megan was involved in the setup. “First of all, I think it’s above her,” he said. “I don’t think she made it up. It’s above her. She’s a mere pawn in this. This play is greater than her. She didn’t make nothing up.”

Budden went on to suggest that the gun used in the shooting was planted in Lanez’s car. “I ain’t gon’ say who I think made it up but it wasn’t her,” Budden said. “Actually, people out there know who it is. I ain’t saying it on this broadcast but I know exactly who it is, I know how that gun got there, I know whose gun it was.” He also mentioned Harris, a key witness in the case, and a private conversation they once had.

“I thought it was weird that the last time we talked about this, Kelsey [Harris] jumped in my DMs saying, ‘Hey, don’t talk about this no more.’ Why? You got immunity. It’s odd. Why wouldn’t you want somebody to talk about one of the biggest cases in however many years? That was odd to me,” he added.
