Jesse “The Body” Ventura Announces He’s Back With WWE
Jesse “The Body” Ventura, known for being an iconic star during the wrestling boom of the 1980s is back to his roots.
He is a former professional wrestler, actor, political commentator, and politician. He has seen a couple of stints with WWE over the last decades, but nothing concrete where he would be an ambassador on a WWE legends contract. That has now changed after he informed Chris Van Villette of being in negotiations with WWE.
“My relationship with them(WWE) now is much improved. We are on the verge right now (I can say this) that contracts have been written, says Ventura. He continued saying he has agreed with the company to sign shortly.
Ventura gained fame initially as a wrestler in the 1970s and 1980s, notably working for the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). Known for his flamboyant personality, colorful outfits, and outspoken nature, Ventura became a wrestling superstar and also made a name for himself as a commentator in the wrestling world after his in-ring career ended due to health issues.
POST WRESTLING CAREER
After his wrestling career, Ventura transitioned to Hollywood, appearing in movies such as *Predator* (1987) alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and *The Running Man* (1987). His unique look and personality helped him secure roles in several films, often playing tough, larger-than-life characters.
However, Ventura’s career took a surprising turn when he entered politics. He ran as a third-party candidate for governor of Minnesota in 1998 under the Reform Party and won in a stunning upset. Ventura served as governor from 1999 to 2003, focusing on issues such as tax reform and infrastructure improvement. His governorship was marked by his independent, no-nonsense approach, often clashing with both Democrats and Republicans. He left office after one term, choosing not to seek re-election.
Ventura has remained a vocal public figure, frequently discussing political issues, conspiracy theories, and personal freedoms. He hosted a television show, *Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura*, where he investigated various controversial topics. Ventura is also a prolific author, writing books on politics, government, and personal liberty.
Throughout his career, Ventura has been known for his outspokenness, his distrust of mainstream political parties, and his advocacy for individual rights. He continues to make public appearances and weigh in on political matters.
SATURDAY NIGHT’S MAIN EVENT
Jesse Ventura was an entertaining commentator for the popular NBC series during the 1980’s. He would do commentary for historic matches and segments that include the night Hulk Hogan lost his world championship to Andre The Giant or Randy Savage turning on Hulk Hogan. The show would get monstrous ratings with its compelling feuds and matches that were different than the weekend broadcasts of WWF Superstars. There is talks that WWE is priming for the return of SNME and perhaps this news is associated with it.
