Jay-Z & Diddy’s Sexual Assault Lawsuit Dismissed by Attorney Tony Buzbee
The lawsuit accusing Sean “Diddy” Combs and Jay-Z of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in 2000 has been officially dismissed. According to a legal filing submitted on Friday, attorneys representing the plaintiff, Jane Doe, confirmed that the case was voluntarily dismissed with prejudice, meaning it cannot be refiled. The filing, signed by attorneys Tony Buzbee and Antigone Curis, notes that both defendants consented to the dismissal.

Tony Buzbee, who has represented nearly 100 clients in lawsuits against Combs, initially filed the case in October. The complaint originally referenced a male “Celebrity A” and a female “Celebrity B” without naming them directly. However, a revised filing in December identified Jay-Z as “Celebrity A,” leading him to launch a separate legal action against Buzbee for extortion.
JAY-Z DENIED ALLEGATION
Jay-Z has consistently denied any involvement in the allegations. Following the case’s dismissal, he released a statement through Roc Nation, denouncing the accusations as false and harmful. “This civil suit was without merit and was never going anywhere,” the statement read. “The trauma that my wife, children, loved ones, and I have endured can never be dismissed.”
The lawsuit alleged that the assault took place at a party hosted by Diddy on September 7, 2000. Initially, only Combs was named in the complaint, but Jay-Z was later implicated. In a December interview with NBC, the plaintiff acknowledged inconsistencies in her account, which Jay-Z’s attorney, Alex Spiro, highlighted as evidence of a baseless claim.
BAD BOY RECORDS REMOVED
Legal battles persisted leading up to the dismissal. On February 10, Bad Boy Records was removed as a defendant, triggering corporate restructuring within Combs’ business empire. Defense attorneys sought to reveal the plaintiff’s real name and pushed for sanctions against Buzbee, arguing that the case lacked credibility.
Following the dismissal, Spiro issued a direct statement: “The false case against Jay-Z, which never should have been filed, has been dismissed with prejudice. Jay stood firm, never settled, never paid a cent, and cleared his name.”
