Jay-Z & Beyonce Threaten Piers Morgan Legally Over Jaguar Wright Interview

Piers Morgan spoke publicly about legal action taken.

Piers Morgan recently stirred up controversy by inviting Jaguar Wright to discuss the ongoing case involving Diddy. During the appearance, Wright not only made serious allegations against Diddy but also took aim at JAY-Z. Known for her outspoken criticism of the Roc Nation co-founder, Wright used her largest platform yet on Piers Morgan Uncensored to call JAY-Z a “monster” and link him to disreputable figures. She claimed, “Harvey Weinstein, Jeffrey Epstein, Robert Kelly, Sean Combs all have one person in common professionally and privately: Shawn Carter.” As expected, JAY-Z and Beyoncé responded with legal action.

On October 8, Piers Morgan addressed the issue on his show, clarifying the situation for his viewers. He confirmed that JAY-Z and Beyoncé had issued a cease and desist to prevent the airing of Wright’s bold allegations. “Their lawyers informed us that those claims were entirely false and without any basis in fact,” Morgan explained. In response, the show agreed to remove the accusations from the broadcast. “Editing interviews isn’t something we take lightly on a show called Uncensored,” Morgan noted, “but we have legal limitations too.” He then issued a live apology to the famous couple.

JAY-Z and Beyoncé Issue Cease and Desist

“We apologize to JAY-Z and Beyoncé,” Morgan stated. While the couple’s legal response was understandable, Wright’s appearance has sparked notable reactions across the entertainment industry. Ray J, in particular, voiced his frustration on social media, criticizing Wright for choosing Piers Morgan Uncensored over his show. “You keep taking these other n**gas’ money,” he commented, “instead of showing love to the community? That’s weak as f*ck.” He also expressed disappointment that Wright never responded when he previously tried to book her for an interview.
