Fivio Foreign Says Drake May Join Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl Halftime

The rapper believes this could end the ongoing feud with Drake.

The Super Bowl Halftime Show has sparked more controversy than usual lately. The decision by JAY-Z to select Kendrick Lamar over New Orleans native Lil Wayne has stirred up fans, many of whom believe that this move was intended to elevate Lamar while snubbing Wayne. Given the long-standing tensions between Kendrick Lamar and Lil Wayne’s most famous protégé, Drake, this decision has left fans speculating. Now, Fivio Foreign has added his voice to the conversation, claiming to have some exclusive insight into the upcoming Halftime Show. According to him, Lamar plans to bring both Weezy and Drake on stage during his performance.

FIVIO FOREIGN JUMPS ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Fivio Foreign shared this “exclusive” information on September 24. Taking to Instagram Live, he confidently announced that Lil Wayne is part of Kendrick Lamar’s plans for the big night. “I heard that Kendrick is gonna bring out Lil Wayne,” Fivio stated. The claims didn’t stop there: “Then Lil Wayne is gonna bring out Drake,” he continued, adding, “Then Kendrick is gonna squash their beef.” However, Fivio offered no details about his source or any further specifics about the Halftime Show. All he could say was that the idea sounded “fire,” as an unseen voice in the background hyped him up.

Fivio Foreign isn’t entirely out of the loop when it comes to the music industry’s biggest players. Having collaborated with Drake on the track “Demons” from the Dark Lane Demo Tapes, he certainly has some connections. Nonetheless, it’s hard to imagine that such a significant moment in music would be spoiled by Fivio’s Instagram Live. After all, he doesn’t have deep ties to New Orleans, Toronto, or Compton—cities directly linked to the artists involved.

TOP5 SENDS SHOTS TO KENDRICK LAMAR

The idea of reconciling Kendrick Lamar and Drake is a bit of a stretch, given their intense history. Top5 who is affiliated with Drake also recently took aim at Kendrick Lamar fresh out of prison. Both artists have taken jabs at each other over the years, and there’s no indication that the tension has eased. It’s difficult to picture Drake agreeing to join Kendrick on such a high-profile stage, essentially conceding to Lamar’s leadership. Moreover, Kendrick Lamar is likely to perform “Not Like Us,” one of the biggest hits of his career, which could complicate matters further. While Lil Wayne joining the show makes sense in his hometown, the idea of Drake burying the hatchet might be more wishful thinking than reality. So, take Fivio Foreign’s claims with a considerable grain of salt.
