Eminem Drops “Save Me” Music Video Tribute To Daughter
Eminem and Jelly Roll have collaborated for the first time on the track “Somebody Save Me,” the powerful closing song of The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce) album. Just over a month after the album’s release, the duo brought the song’s narrative to life with a poignant music video that premiered on Wednesday (Aug. 21).
In the video, Eminem portrays a man reflecting on the moments he missed in his children’s lives due to his career and battles with addiction. Home video clips show Hailie Jade playing guitar at a recital, celebrating milestones like her graduation, and blowing out birthday candles. The footage also features Alaina’s graduation, Stevie opening presents, and brother Nate during the holidays, all playing as Eminem watches from the sidelines, overcome with regret and seeking forgiveness.
The emotional intensity heightens when the Detroit rapper, filled with frustration, confronts a sleeping version of himself before being symbolically lowered into a casket, surrounded by his tearful family. The video closes with an extended segment of Hailie Jade’s recital, serving as a poignant conclusion to the visual journey.
A message at the end of the video offers a note of hope: “If you need help, you are not alone,” encouraging those in need to seek support through the mental health platform BetterHelp, which focuses on breaking down barriers to mental health access.
*The Death of Slim Shady*, released on July 12, was met with significant excitement, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. With 281,000 total album units sold in its first week, it marked Eminem’s 11th chart-topping album.
