Elon Musk Accused of Making Controversial Gesture At Trump Inauguration

Elon Musk is facing criticism for a controversial gesture made during President Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday afternoon in Washington D.C. The Tesla CEO was seen placing his right hand on his chest before extending it diagonally into the air with his fingers facing forward, a motion that some have interpreted as reminiscent of a Nazi salute.

Addressing the crowd, Musk stated, “My heart goes out to you. It is thanks to you that the future of civilization is assured. Thanks to you. We’re gonna have safe cities, finally safe cities. Secure borders, sensible spending. Basic stuff. And we’re gonna take ‘Doge’ to Mars.”

Social Media Reacts to Musk’s Gesture

Videos of Musk’s speech rapidly gained traction on social media, with many users expressing outrage and concern over the gesture. “Elon Musk reveals his true colors, making a highly controversial salute at Trump’s inauguration,” one X user commented. Another wrote, “Within hours of Trump’s oath of office, Elon Musk made an alarming gesture during his speech. It happened twice, and it cannot be ignored.” As of now, Musk has not addressed the growing controversy.

Elon Musk’s Role at the Inauguration

Musk’s presence at the event followed his recent appointment to the Department of Government Efficiency, where he is expected to focus on reducing federal program expenditures. The inauguration featured musical performances by Nelly, The Village People, and Carrie Underwood, all of whom have faced significant backlash from fans on social media for their participation in the event.
