Drake Offered To Buy Dame Dash’s Stake In Roc-A-Fella Records
Dame Dash recently auctioned his one-third stake in Roc-A-Fella Records.
The auction, which included assets tied to the record label such as Jay-Z’s Reasonable Doubt album, was part of an effort to settle Dash’s debts, including $8.7 million in unpaid taxes. Despite some interest, including a withdrawn $6 million bid reportedly from Drake, the winning bid came from New York State at $1 million. This purchase was made as part of a creditor process to address Dash’s financial obligations, including unpaid child support
New York State now owns Dash’s share and plans to resell it to recover additional funds. Drake has been buying up hip-hop history for a while and has focused on the third of the Roc. Dash stated that at one point, Drake bid for $6 million. “Drake put in a bid for $6 million, but then he disappeared.”
