Drake Believes He’ll Win A Round 2 With Kendrick Lamar

Drake recently shared a throwback clip of former Detroit Pistons star Rasheed Wallace, which fans believe hints at a renewed rivalry with Kendrick Lamar.

The 2004 video shows Wallace confidently predicting a win against the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals, which his team went on to achieve.

“Y’all can put it on the front page, back page, middle page, wherever, headliners, column one or two, we will win game two,” Wallace declares in the video.

Drake’s post suggests he might be planning to reignite his feud with Kendrick Lamar after a recent loss to the Compton rapper, or perhaps he’s hinting at surpassing Kendrick through his continued success in releasing new music.

Regardless of Drake’s intent, his post stirred up a variety of reactions online.

THE ORIGN OF THE BEEF

The rivalry between Drake and Kendrick Lamar is one of the most talked-about tensions in hip-hop over the past decade. While it has never escalated to an outright feud with diss tracks flying back and forth, the competition between these two rap titans has been marked by subtle jabs, strategic moves, and competitive energy.

The tension between Drake and Kendrick Lamar first became noticeable after Kendrick’s famous verse on Big Sean’s 2013 track “Control.” In it, Kendrick called out several top rappers, including Drake, J. Cole, and others, claiming he was trying to “murder” them lyrically and was the “King of New York.” While the verse was widely seen as a declaration of lyrical competition rather than a direct diss, it got a reaction from many in the hip-hop community, including Drake.
