Diddy’s Grey Hair Draws Attention as Sex Trafficking Trial Approaches
As his high-profile sex trafficking trial nears, Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ physical appearance is sparking conversation, with a courtroom sketch revealing his hair has turned completely grey. The music mogul appeared in New York Supreme Court on April 18 to request a postponement of his upcoming trial—but his legal team’s motion was denied.
Though cameras weren’t allowed in the courtroom, artist Jane Rosenberg captured Diddy’s updated look in a sketch, which shows him with fully grey hair and beard while still wearing his signature short haircut. The image quickly circulated online, prompting a wave of social media reactions. “No beard dye behind bars champ,” one user joked, while others noted he appeared noticeably thinner.
During the hearing, Diddy’s legal team argued for a two-month delay, citing recent developments, including new charges added in a superseding indictment and the late addition of defense attorney Brian Steel—known for representing rapper Young Thug. They claimed they needed more time to adequately prepare for trial.

However, Judge Arun Subramanian rejected the request, stating the defense has ample resources with four attorneys on the case and would not be permitted additional time for what he called a potential “fishing expedition” for more evidence.
As a result, the trial remains on schedule. Jury selection is set to begin May 5, followed shortly by opening statements.
Diddy was first arrested on federal charges including sex trafficking and racketeering in September of last year. He has pleaded not guilty and continues to maintain his innocence. Until the trial begins, he remains in custody at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center.
