Diddy’s Expected Release Date Surfaced in Federal Records

Sean “Diddy” Combs — who has been serving a 50-month prison sentence on charges related to transportation to engage in prostitution — now has an expected release date listed in federal records, according to reports.

Federal Bureau of Prisons records obtained by Complex show Combs’ projected release as May 8, 2028, assuming no changes to his custody status. The date reflects the current calculation and could shift if Combs successfully pursues appeals, earns additional credits, or benefits from other legal remedies. Under certain rules, he may be eligible to serve as little as 85% of his sentence, which is the only factor currently reflected in that projected date. If the May 2028 date holds, it would be roughly three years and seven months after his arrest in September of last year.

Speculation about a potential presidential pardon has circulated in some corners, but the White House pushed back, calling such reports unfounded. A spokesperson said there is “zero truth” to claims that President Donald Trump is considering a pardon, adding that the President — not anonymous sources — is the final authority on pardons and commutations.

Alleged Prison Incident Raises Safety Concerns

Combs has reportedly already spent more than a year behind bars and, according to some accounts, faced a frightening incident while incarcerated. Media reports claim that an inmate allegedly put a knife to his throat while he slept at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. Details remain unconfirmed.

“I don’t know whether he fought him off or the guards came, I just know that it happened,” an individual identified as Charlucci Finney told the Daily Mail. “If this guy had wanted to harm him, Sean would have been harmed. It would only take a second to cut his throat with a weapon and kill him. It was probably a way to say, ‘Next time, you ain’t going to be so lucky.’ Everything is intimidation. But with Sean it won’t work. Sean is from Harlem.”

That alleged episode underscores concerns about Combs’ safety while incarcerated and has contributed to continued public interest in the case and its possible outcomes.
