On July 13th, 2024 Donald Trump, the 45th President of the United States, was shot at during a rally, but Secret Service says he is safe. President Biden has spoken to former President Trump, a White House official told the Reuters news agency. Biden earlier denounced the shooting, calling it “sick”.
His campaign has said that he will be pausing political activity and pulling down television advertisements. Trump says he was “shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part” of his right ear. Secret Service says its personnel killed the suspected shooter; one spectator has been killed and two others critically injured in the shooting.
THE SHOOTING OF PRESIDENT RONALD REAGAN
Politicians from across the spectrum offer support to Trump, with President Joe Biden saying “there’s no place for this kind of violence” in the US. Many online are comparing the incident to other times in history when Presidents have been shot at such as Ronald Reagan and John F. Kennedy.

ONLINE REACTIONS
Many people have jumped on social media and have compared Donald Trump to hip hop legends who have survived shootings such as Tupac Shakur and 50 Cent. The former President Barack Obama also relayed the message that violence is not accepted in politics despite his rivalry with the leader of the Republican party.

Also Trump literally sued Tupac in the 90s. Tupac has always been vocal about his dislike for that man. They only want to bring a black person up when it benefits their narrative. It’s weird and insanely disrespectful to who Tupac was and what he stood for. Disgusting fr.
