Church’s Chicken Employee Shot To Death Outside Restaurant
In a tragic incident in west Tennessee, a Church’s Chicken employee was shot and killed following an argument with a customer on Monday night.
The shooting occurred just before 9:10 p.m. at a Church’s Chicken in Memphis. According to officials, the incident took place at the Park Avenue location, approximately six miles southeast of downtown Memphis.
Police responded to a report of a shooting at the restaurant at 9:10 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered a female employee suffering from at least one gunshot wound. She was transported to a hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
Argument Leads to Fatal Shooting
Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim had been working when a woman in a teal-colored SUV pulled into the drive-thru and engaged in an argument with her. The cause of the argument remains unclear.
“The teal-colored SUV drove off the lot, and the victim walked outside the business to get some air,” police stated. “A few moments later, a gunshot was heard, and the teal-colored SUV was seen on video speeding away from the parking lot.”
The victim was found in the parking lot shortly after the shooting.
Search for Suspect Continues
As of Tuesday, the victim’s name and age had not been released. Police are continuing their investigation and have not made any arrests. The suspect is described as a female with purple hair driving a teal-colored compact SUV.
