Charlamagne Tha God & The Breakfast Club Headed to Netflix in 2026
One of hip-hop and culture’s most influential talk shows is making a major move to streaming.
iHeartMedia officially announced on Tuesday that The Breakfast Club, hosted by Charlamagne Tha God, will begin streaming on Netflix in 2026 as part of a new partnership between the media giant and the global streaming platform.
The agreement will bring 15 iHeartPodcasts to Netflix, expanding the platform’s growing push into video podcasts. Alongside The Breakfast Club, other shows included in the deal are Dear Chelsea, Bobby Bones Presents: The Bobbycast, My Favorite Murder, and several more.
Charlamagne Reacts: “Let’s Try This New Skin”
Charlamagne Tha God celebrated the announcement with a reflective message on Instagram, signaling both growth and transformation.
“9 Year that Equals Completion. Snake Year that Equals Shedding. Let’s Try This New Skin. WE TRULY THANK GOD FOR IT ALL!!!”
The post was widely shared, with fans applauding the show’s continued evolution and expanded reach.

Bob Pittman, CEO of iHeartMedia, emphasized the significance of the move in a statement obtained by The Hollywood Reporter.
“Audio podcasting has been the fastest-growing medium over the past 20 years, and now we’re thrilled to expand that experience with an exciting new category – video podcasts,” Pittman said.
“Netflix has a leading video-first service, and this partnership perfectly complements our strong audio foundation.”
Pittman added that the collaboration allows fans to connect with familiar voices in new ways while introducing these shows to entirely new audiences.
Netflix echoed that sentiment, with Lauren Smith, Vice President of Content Licensing and Programming Strategy, highlighting the platform’s enthusiasm for the partnership.
“With this partnership we are incredibly excited to offer our members such unmatched variety, and to deliver highly entertaining podcasts featuring some of the world’s most dynamic personalities.”
Part of a Larger Netflix Podcast Strategy
The iHeartMedia announcement follows a similar move made by Netflix in October, when the streaming giant revealed a partnership with Spotify Studios and The Ringer. That deal brought popular podcasts such as The Bill Simmons Podcast, The Zach Lowe Show, The McShay Show, and The Rewatchables to Netflix’s platform.
Together, these partnerships signal Netflix’s growing investment in podcast-driven content — particularly shows with strong cultural influence and loyal fanbases.
A Shifting Landscape for Radio & Morning Shows
The news also comes at a pivotal moment for traditional radio. Just days before the Netflix announcement, Hot 97 made headlines after canceling its long-running morning show, Ebro in the Morning, which had been on air since 2012.
Ebro Darden confirmed the decision in a brief post on X (formerly Twitter), writing:
“It’s done. More to come.”
As legacy radio shows face uncertainty, The Breakfast Club’s transition to Netflix highlights how established media brands are adapting — and thriving — in the evolving digital landscape.
