Cat Glover Who Worked With Prince Passes Away At 60 Years

Catherine “Cat” Glover, a renowned choreographer, singer, dancer, and rapper who worked with Prince, has passed away at the age of 60 from unspecified causes.

The announcement was made on Glover’s official Facebook page earlier today. The statement read, “It’s with great sadness that we formally announce the passing of Catherine Vernice Glover, also known as ‘Cat.’ We kindly ask for privacy for her children, family, and friends during this challenging time. A further statement will be released in due course.”

Glover played a significant role as a choreographer, dancer, singer, and rapper during Prince’s iconic 1987 *Sign O’ the Times* and 1988-1989 *Lovesexy* tours. She featured prominently in the 1987 *Sign O’ the Times* concert film as well as the 1989 *Lovesexy Live* broadcast and home video. Glover also lent her talents to Prince’s 1988 album *Lovesexy*, delivering a memorable rap on the debut single, “Alphabet St.” Additionally, her voice can be heard on Prince’s *Black Album*, which was initially set for release in 1987 but was later shelved and made available for a limited time in 1994.

In a 1987 interview with *Video Soul*, Glover expressed her deep admiration for Prince, stating, “I’ve always idolized him, and it’s not an intimate thing; it’s just… he’s great. I don’t think there’s anyone who can be as creative as he can – dance, play all his instruments. I’ve actually sat in the studio and watched him put down everything by himself, and I’ve just gone, ‘My God, he’s incredible, he really is.'”
