Cassie Opens Up About Jealousy Toward Kim Porter & Drug Struggles During Diddy’s Trial

Cassie continued her testimony in Diddy’s ongoing criminal trial on Thursday in New York City, revealing deeply personal details about her past relationship with the music mogul. The singer, who has been on the witness stand since Tuesday, admitted during cross-examination that she once felt jealous of Diddy’s longtime partner, the late Kim Porter as reported by ShadeRoom.

“I had some jealousy of Ms. Porter,” Cassie said, acknowledging that she resented Diddy for choosing to spend holidays with Porter and their children instead of with her. Diddy and Porter shared an on-and-off relationship from 1994 to 2007 and had three children together: Christian, Jessie, and D’Lila. Porter passed away in 2018 due to lobar pneumonia. Cassie’s confession echoed the defense’s opening argument, which framed the trial as a story about “love, jealousy, and money.”

SUBSTANCE ABUSE ACKNOWLEDGED

During the same testimony, Cassie also discussed her past issues with substance abuse. She recalled a frightening moment when she lost her sense of smell and taste and experienced numbness in her arm. According to her, Diddy noticed her drug use and tried to intervene by instructing dealers in Los Angeles to stop selling to her.

Earlier in the week, under prosecution questioning, Cassie detailed several disturbing allegations against Diddy. These included an incident in which he allegedly assaulted her at a Los Angeles hotel in 2016, his violent reaction to her rumored relationship with rapper Kid Cudi, and the abuse claims in the lawsuit she filed against him in 2023.

MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES

Cassie also spoke about the emotional toll these experiences had on her mental health, revealing that the trauma eventually led her to feel suicidal. “I didn’t want to be alive anymore at that point,” she told the court. “I couldn’t take the pain that I was in anymore, and so I just tried to walk out the front door into traffic and my husband would not let me.”

Cassie is expected to return to the stand on Friday. The defense will continue its cross-examination, and the prosecution has requested additional time for redirect questioning.
