Cardi B Voices Concerns Over Young Men & Potential Military Draft
Cardi B has expressed her concerns about the readiness of the current generation to fight in a war, suggesting that the military should focus on upgrading their weapons instead.
The rapper, known for her frequent political commentary, recently shared her thoughts on a newly passed congressional bill. This bill mandates automatic registration for the military draft for men aged 18 to 26. Cardi B questioned whether today’s young men are as prepared for war as previous generations, highlighting a perceived gap between those who were drafted in the past and the young men of today. Her main argument is that, in her view, people are not as prepared for combat as they once were.
“You want to send these new kids to fight these wars?” Cardi B said. “The TikTok hip-shakers? This is a new America, baby, not like back in the day. Seriously, you’re going to draft these kids who spend all day on TikTok to fight against, most likely, Russians? Those people are tough, fighting bears and all kinds of harsh conditions. I have some news for you.”

Cardi B is also dealing with personal conflicts, though these are battles of words rather than physical combat. Her ongoing feud with fellow rapper BIA has caught the public’s attention, and there’s speculation that Cardi might respond with a “very mean” track she hinted at recently. While it’s unclear if this track is related to the feud, fans are making connections. We’ll have to wait and see how this drama unfolds in 2024.
The House of Representatives passed a measure on Friday automatically registering men aged 18 to 26 for selective service.
It was part of the annual National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which sets out the U.S. government’s military and national security priorities over the next fiscal year.
