Naturally, such a visit would be distressing for any parent, as it often suggests serious concerns. However, in this case, it appears that Cardi B was the target of a malicious prank. During her livestream, the rapper explained that someone falsely reported child abuse happening in her household.

Despite Cardi B’s clear denial of any wrongdoing, CPS is required to investigate all reports of this nature. Unfortunately, it seems that the call was the result of spiteful behavior, likely from an overzealous fan or “stan” of another artist. Cardi expressed her outrage during the livestream and vowed to sue both CPS and the individual responsible for the false report. While the likelihood of tracking down the caller is slim, given the anonymity of such calls, Cardi’s fans have rallied behind her in support.
