Cardi B Officially Announces Long‑Awaited Sophomore Album Am I the Drama?

New York, NY – June 23, 2025 – Seven years after her Grammy‑winning debut Invasion of Privacy, Cardi B has dropped a dramatic cinematic teaser and confirmed the title and release date of her much-anticipated second studio album. Titled Am I the Drama?, the project arrives September 19, 2025, on Atlantic Records.

The announcement landed Monday via a dark, atmospheric video posted on Cardi’s Instagram. Clad in a black gown and surrounded by ominous crows, Cardi delivers a potent monologue—melding pride and defiance:

“Seven years of love, life and loss … I’m shedding feathers and no more tears … I’m not your villain, I’m your karma. The time is here. The time is now.”

This visual callback coincided with the release of “Outside”, her first official solo single since 2024’s Enough (Miami), which debuted on June 20 and is confirmed to be included on the new album.

With 23 tracks planned—including prior smash hits “WAP” (2020) and “Up” (2021)—the album is described as an unapologetic reclamation of Cardi’s voice and power.
