Cam’ron Calls LiAngelo Ball “Rebbie Jackson” Of Basketball
A Podcast war of words has taken place between rapper Cam’ron and basketball player LiAngelo Ball.
The tension reportedly began on Cam’ron‘s show “It Is What It Is,” as the conversation shifted to LiAngelo’s struggles to make the NBA, unlike his brothers Lonzo and LaMelo. Cam’ron humorously imagined a conversation between LiAngelo and his siblings, quipping, “We tried, we did everything we could. We got a tryout in China for you, that’s all we got.” The comment didn’t sit well with LiAngelo, prompting him to respond on his podcast *What an Experience* with his brother Lonzo.
LiAngelo fired back, referencing one of Cam’ron’s songs. “‘Suck It Or Not’ with Lil Wayne, that’s all I remember from you. You don’t know my story like that. To say, ‘Oh, he got a tryout in China,’ you don’t know what I did in the G League. I’m out here hooping.” Cam’ron retaliated, stating he only knew about LiAngelo because of his father, LaVar Ball, and brought up LiAngelo’s infamous shoplifting incident in China. “Gelo, I ain’t got no problem with you, I just gotta call it like I see it. You’re lucky Trump was in China ’cause they might have cut your fingers off over stealing those sunglasses.”

LIANGELO CLAPS BACK AT CAM
LiAngelo didn’t hold back in his counter, questioning Cam’ron’s musical relevance. “Since you wanna talk about rap and say I’m not good, I’ve never heard your name in anybody’s top five or top 10, bro. We’re in the same boat. I didn’t make the league, and you’re not in any top 10s.”
But the back-and-forth didn’t end there. Cam’ron responded on his show, seemingly delivering the final blow. “A championship for musicians is going platinum. As a producer, ghostwriter, executive producer, and artist, I have 12 million records on my resume. I don’t need to be in anyone’s top 5—I’m good.” He then sarcastically asked where LiAngelo was now that the NBA season had started, suggesting that he’s the one getting the last laugh in this ongoing feud.
Making a comparison to Tito Jackson, Camron then scratched that to name drop Rebbie Jackson as what LiAngelo reminds him of when speaking of a family member not living up to the other siblings who made it big.
