BMF’s Big Meech’s Niece Diamond P Talks About Her Uncle

DIAMOND P BIO
QuWanda D McCoy-Brim, known by her moniker Diamond Princess, or Diamond P, was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia—a city famous for producing music legends. Her strength and determination are deeply rooted in her desire to be a positive example for her children. Diamond P is a true multi-hyphenate: a philanthropist, musician, radio personality, master cosmetologist, notary, and a four-time college graduate with an A.S. in Criminal Justice. She is also a proud member of the National Society of Leadership & Success.
With the backing of industry veterans like Big Duke, SheaShea, and Nee Nee, along with ties to the B.M.F., Diamond P embarked on her own path in entertainment. She founded Young Blacc Mafia and Diamond Dollz Ent, making waves in the industry. In 2011, she earned the Best Underground Record Label award at the Atlanta Underground Music Awards.
Her passion for music has led to the release of several tracks, including “Community Bitches,” “Grind,” and “Fuk It Up.” Currently, she’s working on her latest single, “Get a Bag” featuring Velisosa. Diamond P was also nominated for Best Indie Female Rap Artist at the 2018 SCM Awards and won an award for her song “Just Dope” at the 2018 Atlanta Hip-Hop Awards.
Radio Personality
Diamond P has been a vibrant force in radio for over 12 years. She currently hosts at 106 Live Radio in Atlanta. Her dynamic presence on the airwaves earned her a nomination for Female Radio Personality of the Year at the 2019 Atlanta Hip-Hop Awards.
Acting
Diamond P’s talents extend beyond music and radio—she’s also an actress. Her film and television credits include roles in *Barbershop 3*, *Saints and Sinners*, *QUAD*, and *Women on the Rise*. Additionally, she serves as a brand ambassador for the American Black Film Festival.
Additional Achievements
Diamond P is now working on her first autobiographical book, *Da Life of Diamond P*. Over the years, she has graced the pages of six magazines and appeared on five covers. In recognition of her relentless drive and dedication, she was honored with the title “Certified Hustler of the Year” by Urban Grandstand Magazine in 2019.
