Big Sean Addresses Rumors About Kanye West Leaking His Album

Big Sean returned to Instagram Live to share his thoughts on the recent leak of his upcoming album.

After a four-year hiatus, Big Sean is gearing up to release a new album but has been frustrated by the leak. “To whoever did do that, just know it did f*** me up,” he expressed to his Instagram Live viewers. The leak is allegedly connected to someone associated with Kanye West. It’s important to note that Sean and Kanye have had a turbulent relationship. Kanye admitted on Drink Champs a few years back that signing Sean to G.O.O.D. Music was a mistake. Despite this, the idea that someone leaked the album due to subliminal shots in a freestyle seems far-fetched.

Big Sean echoed this sentiment during his IG Live session. He mentioned their extensive history in the studio, reminiscing about watching Kanye create “Graduation,” “808s & Heartbreak,” and “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.” Sean also spoke about his loyalty to his former label, G.O.O.D. Music, despite not earning as much as the higher-ups. He noted that he never leaked any music he had early access to while on the label.

Big Sean Explains Why Kanye Wouldn’t Leak His Album

It all started  when Big Sean released his “On the Radar” freestyle, featuring the line, “I got better things to do than find someone to beef with.” Some social media users speculated that this was aimed at Kendrick Lamar. However, media personality DJ Hed quickly clarified the situation by tweeting that he had spoken with Sean, who confirmed that the line was not directed at Lamar but at a “different Gemini.”

This sparked further speculation that the line might be referring to Kanye West, another Gemini who played a significant role in launching Sean’s career.

Ultimately, Sean believes the rumor about Kanye leaking his album is “bulls***.” While Kanye’s unpredictability is well-known in the hip-hop community, Sean feels confident that this rumor doesn’t hold water. Even if Kanye were to comment on the situation, we might never know the full truth.

What are your thoughts on Big Sean dismissing the idea that Kanye West was behind the leak of his album?
