Baka Not Nice has indirectly responded to Kendrick Lamar’s recent diss in the song “Not Like Us,” where the Compton rapper accuses the OVO member of having a “weird case.” This likely refers to Baka’s 2015 guilty plea for assaulting a woman, which led to a six-month jail sentence. He was also charged with forcing the woman into prostitution, but those charges were dropped when she refused to testify.

On Sunday, Baka shared a photo on his Instagram Story with a caption that appeared to address Lamar’s accusations. “I STAY WITH INTELLIGENT PPL I’M NOT A FOLLOWER YOU CAN’T LEAD ME TO NO SLAUGHTER MEN LIE WOMAN LIE BUT PAPERWORK CAN’T,” he wrote.

Lamar’s song doesn’t only target Baka; it also mentions other OVO members. He raps, “They tell me Chubbs the only one that get your hand-me-downs / And Party at the party playin’ with his nose now / And Baka got a weird case, why is he around? / Certified Lover Boy? Certified pedophiles.” In response, Drake released “The Heart Part 6” the next day, where he defends himself with the lyrics, “Just for clarity, I feel disgusted, I’m too respected / If I was fcking young girls, I promise I’d have been arrested / I’m way too famous for this sht you just suggested.” Both artists have remained silent since their flurry of diss tracks.
