Bad Bunny to Headline 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show at Levi’s Stadium
The NFL has officially announced that Bad Bunny will headline the next Super Bowl Halftime Show, set to take place on Sunday, February 8, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Jay-Z, who has partnered with the NFL through his Roc Nation company to produce halftime shows since 2019, praised the historic selection in a statement to the Associated Press.
“What Benito has done and continues to do for Puerto Rico is truly inspiring,” Jay-Z said. “We are honored to have him on the world’s biggest stage.” Roc Nation was also behind last year’s acclaimed performance featuring Kendrick Lamar.
For Bad Bunny, the moment is deeply personal. “What I’m feeling goes beyond myself,” the Grammy-winning artist shared. “It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown. This is for my people, my culture, and our history. Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el HALFTIME SHOW DEL SUPER BOWL.”

The announcement comes after the Puerto Rican superstar declined to bring his most recent tour to the United States, citing concerns about the country’s immigration policies. In a conversation with Variety, he explained that he feared ICE could target his concerts.
“There were many reasons why I didn’t show up in the U.S., and none of them were out of hate — I’ve performed there many times. All of them have been successful and magnificent. I’ve enjoyed connecting with Latinos who live in the U.S.,” he said.
Bad Bunny went on to highlight the complicated reality of Puerto Rico’s relationship with the United States:
“For a residency here in Puerto Rico, when we are an unincorporated territory of the U.S., people from the mainland could come here to see the show. Latinos and Puerto Ricans from the U.S. could also travel here or anywhere else in the world. But there was the issue of — like, f—— ICE could be outside (my concert). And it’s something that we were very concerned about.”
Now, with the Super Bowl Halftime Show, Bad Bunny is set to bring Puerto Rican culture, history, and global influence to one of the most-watched stages in the world.
