Young Thug Extends Helping Hand to Kevin McCall After EBT Confession

Young Thug is showing generosity toward fellow artist Kevin McCall after the singer revealed he’s currently using an EBT card. During an emotional appearance on the Back On Figg podcast, McCall spoke openly about his financial struggles and mentioned that Chris Brown allegedly still owes him $25,000 from their past collaborations.

Shortly after the interview surfaced, Young Thug took to X (formerly Twitter) to offer assistance. “Kevin McCall hit me, my n*a. I’ll give you the 25k you need,” Thug wrote. “And I know CB would give it to you also, bro—he a real one. N**s is busy sometimes, brada.”

The rapper’s post sparked a wave of reactions online. Some users criticized McCall, suggesting he was seeking sympathy for money, while others applauded Thug’s compassion. “So all I gotta do is cry and complain about having EBT and I get 25k?!?” one person joked. Another countered, “Chris Brown owes him nothing, stop enabling such behavior.” Many, however, praised Young Thug for his kindness, with one fan writing, “We love a generous Thug.”

Kevin McCall’s History with Chris Brown

McCall’s recent comments reignited public attention on his complicated history with Chris Brown. During the Back On Figg appearance, McCall became emotional, asking, “Why the f*ck I got an EBT card?” before adding, “Can I get $25K for them four songs I owe you?”

The two artists collaborated several times in the early 2010s, with McCall appearing on Brown’s 2010 hit “Deuces” and the 2011 single “Strip.” McCall also launched his solo career in 2012 with the release of his debut single, “Naked.”

Meanwhile, Chris Brown recently wrapped up his Breezy Bowl XX tour, which featured stops across North America and Europe. The star-studded lineup included Summer Walker, Bryson Tiller, and Jhené Aiko, with the tour concluding earlier this month in New Orleans.
