Keefe D Alleges Diddy Ordered $1 Million Hit on 2Pac

Keefe D Claims Diddy Allegedly Offered $1 Million Bounty on 2Pac

Duane “Keefe D” Davis, who is currently awaiting trial for his alleged involvement in the 1996 killing of Tupac Shakur, has made explosive claims linking music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs to the case.

According to court records obtained by USA Today, Keefe D told investigators in interviews from 2008 and 2009 that Diddy allegedly placed a $1 million bounty on both Tupac and Death Row Records co-founder Suge Knight. These statements, which were included in DEA summaries, resurfaced as part of Keefe D’s defense argument that he was previously granted immunity in exchange for cooperating with law enforcement.

Despite these allegations, Diddy has never been charged in connection to Tupac’s murder and has consistently denied involvement for decades.

Diddy’s Alleged Statements

In one DEA report, Keefe D claimed that Diddy once said, “he would give anything for those dudes’ heads,” referring to Tupac and Knight. He further alleged that Diddy offered $1 million as a reward for carrying out the attack.

Keefe D also referenced Diddy in his 2019 memoir Compton Street Legend, though he has since downplayed some of its content, claiming his co-author took “artistic liberties” with the story.

Civil Cases Revive Old Allegations

The allegations tying Diddy to Tupac’s death have re-emerged in multiple civil lawsuits against him. Former Bad Boy president Kirk Burrowes filed a case alleging that Combs was paranoid about Tupac’s influence and saw him as a threat to his legacy. Burrowes claimed that Diddy expressed frustration and allegedly made comments to insiders suggesting he wanted to diminish Tupac’s impact in the music industry.

Diddy’s legal team dismissed Burrowes’ case as “frivolous”, arguing that it was an attempt to exploit old rumors for financial gain.

Connection to Recent Criminal Trial

In February 2025, another accuser, Steve Otis, a male escort, filed a lawsuit alleging sexual assault by Diddy. Within that case, Otis claimed Combs made a chilling reference to Tupac’s death during their encounter. According to Otis, Diddy allegedly said:
“You better not say a word to anybody about this. Did you hear me? … If I can get Pac hit, what do you think can happen to you?”

While the civil cases continue, Diddy recently faced a major federal trial on sex trafficking and RICO charges. The jury acquitted him on those counts but did convict him on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, leaving him exposed to a possible prison sentence of up to 20 years. Prosecutors, however, have recommended just four years. His sentencing hearing is scheduled for October 3, 2025.

As for Keefe D, his murder trial is expected to begin in February 2026, marking another pivotal moment in the decades-long pursuit of justice for Tupac’s murder.
