Hulk Hogan’s Death Sparks Medical Malpractice Allegations

The passing of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan has taken a new turn as questions emerge over whether medical malpractice may have played a role.

Hogan, who died last month at the age of 71, was initially reported to have suffered cardiac arrest at his Clearwater, Florida home. Paramedics responded to the emergency, but new details obtained by TMZ Sports suggest there may be more to the story.

According to a police report, an occupational therapist was present at Hogan’s home when he passed away. That therapist allegedly told officers that Hogan had been the victim of medical malpractice, claiming his phrenic nerve had been “severed” during a recent procedure. The phrenic nerve, according to the National Institutes of Health, is crucial to breathing, as it provides the primary motor function for the diaphragm.

BODY CAM FOOTAGE

Law enforcement sources also revealed that body cam footage exists in which officers can be heard discussing the therapist’s allegations. Hogan’s wife, Sky, has since confirmed that her husband’s phrenic nerve was indeed “compromised” during a procedure. She added that an autopsy has already been performed and that Hogan has not yet been cremated.

The news follows a series of statements made by Hogan’s daughter, Brooke, who took to Instagram to share her concerns. Brooke claimed she has received direct calls from professionals — including police and nurses who were reportedly present during her father’s final moments — urging her to obtain both the body cam recordings and the 911 tapes. According to her, these materials could “change the narrative” surrounding Hogan’s death.

“I do not have answers as to if the officials who have contacted me about what they witnessed relayed this information to the medical examiner’s office,” Brooke wrote. “And if they did, I do not know why it wasn’t taken into consideration.”

At this time, the official cause of death remains under review, as Hogan’s family continues to push for transparency.
