Lawyer in Fat Joe Lawsuit Arrested for Allegedly Hitting Process Server With Car

Tyrone Blackburn, the attorney representing Terrance “T.A.” Dixon in a high-profile $20 million lawsuit against rapper Fat Joe, has reportedly been arrested for allegedly striking a process server with his car.

According to TMZ, the incident took place last month when a 66-year-old process server attempted to deliver legal documents related to the Fat Joe lawsuit. Blackburn is accused of reversing his vehicle and hitting the server in the leg. Authorities say the man sustained a minor injury and reported the altercation to police, leading to Blackburn’s arrest and booking on assault charges.

FAT JOE’S FORMER HYPE MAN

This legal drama adds another layer to an already controversial case. Earlier this month, Dixon—Fat Joe’s former hypeman—filed a lawsuit claiming that over 16 years of working together, he witnessed the Bronx rapper engage in serious criminal behavior. The allegations include statutory sexual misconduct, financial fraud, intimidation, and more.

Fat Joe’s legal team, led by high-profile attorney Joe Tacopina, has aggressively refuted the claims. Tacopina argues that Dixon’s lawsuit is part of a calculated scheme to extort money through fabricated accusations. He emphasized that his legal team had already filed a civil suit first, targeting both Dixon and Blackburn for what he describes as a coordinated attempt to harass the rapper through false claims.

FALSE CLAIMS SAYS ATTORNEY

“This is a desperate attempt to deflect attention from the civil suit we filed first,” Tacopina stated. “We didn’t just sue a disgruntled former employee trying to revive a false claim from 15 years ago. We sued the lawyer behind it all. Tyrone Blackburn has a well-documented pattern of abusing the courts to harass defendants and generate media attention.”

Tacopina also mentioned that Blackburn has previously faced criticism from two federal judges and is currently the subject of a referral to the disciplinary committee in the Southern District.

As both legal battles unfold, this latest arrest further complicates the credibility of Dixon’s case and draws even more public attention to the heated legal war between Fat Joe and his former associates.
