Gene Deal Reveals Cassie’s Secret Admiration for Tupac & How It May Have Fueled Diddy’s Mistreatment
In a candid and headline-grabbing interview on The Art of Dialogue, former Bad Boy security expert Gene Deal opened up about shocking behind-the-scenes details involving Cassie, Diddy, and her alleged deep admiration for the late Tupac Shakur. The revelations add a new layer to the complicated history of Diddy’s relationships and his long-rumored obsession with the West Coast rap legend.
According to Deal, the question was raised during the interview about why Cassie was the primary woman involved in the notorious “freak-offs” that Diddy has been accused of orchestrating. Deal’s answer pointed to a personal and emotional vulnerability in Cassie—her love for Tupac.
“Cassie loved her some Tupac,” Gene Deal stated. He claims a source close to Cassie described her as a “diehard Tupac fan,” and he believes that Diddy may have discovered this affection—and resented her for it. That resentment, according to Deal, could have fueled Diddy’s alleged mistreatment of the singer.
Gene also noted that Kim Porter and Sarah Chapman, two other women associated with Diddy, also admired Tupac. In fact, Chapman reportedly dated Tupac before getting involved with Diddy, which Deal suggests may have led Diddy to draw boundaries with her that didn’t exist with Cassie.
“I don’t think he could get away with freak-offs with Sarah like that,” Deal said, implying that there were limits based on respect—or jealousy.
Gene tied this pattern to a broader narrative of Diddy’s obsession with Tupac, citing the Kurt Burrows lawsuit, which detailed how Diddy went as far as copying Tupac’s fashion choices, including famously rocking the same Versace shirts.
Deal emphasized how Cassie’s youth and emotional connection to Tupac’s music may have made her an easier target. While admitting the theory sounds wild, he insists it was something “brought to his attention” by those around the circle at the time.
These claims, if true, point to an unsettling dynamic of control, jealousy, and unresolved rivalry in Diddy’s personal life that may have negatively impacted the women close to him—particularly those who held admiration for someone he may have seen as a threat, even in death.
As the legal and media spotlight remains on Diddy amid various lawsuits and allegations, interviews like Gene Deal’s continue to shed light on the complexities and controversies behind the Bad Boy empire.
