In a direct message sent to Nicki Minaj, Shields extended a personal invitation to her upcoming boxing match. “You might as well come [to] the fight! Queen of Rap!” she wrote, as captured by The Shade Room. The bold move didn’t go unnoticed, as fans quickly picked up on the not-so-subtle dig — especially considering the long-standing feud between Nicki Minaj and Remy Ma.

Though Minaj has not responded publicly, her history with Remy includes one of hip hop’s most infamous beefs, punctuated by Remy’s 2017 diss track “Shether.” However, that track is once again under scrutiny after DJ Akademiks reignited speculation that Papoose may have ghostwritten it.

“If Remy Ma won the battle with Nicki because of ‘Shether,’ but it was written by Papoose, that’s a disqualification,” Akademiks said on a recent livestream. “Is it fair game if your husband writes your raps? Or is that ghostwriting?”

“This is what Pawnpoose was threatening to post (and more). THIS WHY HE SO MAD… He’s had photos & videos for years. HE mad that I am actually smiling & laughing again. I’m not ashamed of ANYTHING I have done.”

With Claressa Shields now inserting herself into the feud and tagging Nicki Minaj, fans are speculating whether the boxing champ is simply showing support — or trying to spark a crossover between hip hop beef and sports headlines.
