50 Cent Says “It’s Not Personal” About Jokes On Jay-Z & Diddy
50 Cent Addresses Remarks on Diddy and JAY-Z Allegations: “It’s Not Personal”
50 Cent has built a reputation for trolling rivals and sparking controversy online, but his recent focus on the sexual assault allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs and JAY-Z has drawn particular attention. Despite his pointed comments, the rapper insists his remarks aren’t driven by personal animosity.
In a recent conversation with Big Boy on the media personality’s digital platform, 50 Cent reflected on his relationships with Diddy and JAY-Z, which stretch back to the late 1990s.
PAST INTERACTIONS WITH PUFF DADDY
“I haven’t had issues with Puff where I don’t like him,” the 49-year-old explained, referring to the Bad Boy Entertainment founder. However, 50 admitted that certain actions by Combs have caused discomfort in the past. “I don’t like things that he would do that make me uncomfortable,” he added, without delving into specifics.
Over the years, 50 has accused Diddy of orchestrating moves against him, including replacing his verse on a Jennifer Lopez track with Nas during the early 2000s. He’s also previously commented on Diddy’s romantic involvement with Daphne Joy, the mother of his youngest son, Sire, alleging connections to an alleged sex trafficking operation—claims both Joy and Combs have denied.
JAY-Z’S SITUATION
When it comes to JAY-Z, 50 Cent attributes his remarks to his competitive nature rather than personal vendettas. Despite this, he expressed concern over the allegations recently leveled against the Brooklyn rapper, including an accusation of raping a 13-year-old girl during an MTV Video Music Awards after-party.
“I just hope things are all right for him internally, at home,” the Queens rapper shared, referencing JAY-Z’s family. “Because in the statement, they mentioned his daughter being old enough to… She’s about 13. So it’s the same age as these kids they’re saying he did something to.”
50 Cent also emphasized the lasting impact of such accusations, regardless of their veracity. “The damage is already done by the allegation itself,” he remarked, noting that the reputations of both JAY-Z and Diddy could be permanently tarnished simply by association with such serious claims.
Despite insisting his commentary is not ill-intentioned, 50 recently appeared to critique JAY-Z for attending the Mufasa: The Lion King premiere with his family amid the ongoing allegations.
