50 Cent Reveals Never Being Friends with Diddy Due To His Energy
50 Cent didn’t like the energy surrounding Diddy.
50 Cent recently opened up about his long-standing issues with Diddy in a new cover story for The Hollywood Reporter. During the interview, he shared the moment he realized he was uncomfortable around the Bad Boy mogul. When asked about his frequent trolling of Diddy and why he avoids Diddy’s parties, 50 Cent recalled a peculiar encounter between them.
“He asked to take me shopping,” 50 Cent said. “I thought that was the weirdest thing in the world because that’s something a man might say to a woman. And I was just like, ‘Nah, I’m not dealing with this weird energy or strange behavior.’ From that point on, I wasn’t comfortable around him.”
50 Cent & Diddy Had Professional Dealings
50 Cent went on to discuss his past relationship with Diddy, clarifying that it was more professional than personal. “It was mostly work. I wouldn’t call it a friendship because there wouldn’t be disappointment between us if we didn’t speak to each other,” he explained. “Jennifer Lopez actually told him he should work with me as a songwriter in the beginning. He’d call me to write. I remember Diddy would call, and my son’s mom would answer, and I didn’t want to get on the phone. She’d be like, ‘What? We need money.’ She was looking at me like, ‘Why don’t you want to talk to him?'”

50 Cent went into more detail discussing how he feels Diddy is a content thief. The rap mogul says, “I never partied or hung out with him. Puff is a businessperson; when people call him a producer, I see people who were taken advantage of, who produced things that he took credit for. He’s not a producer. He’s been able to take advantage of the business and the creatives in it. I don’t have any interest in doing that. I actually fall under the creative category. So I just didn’t take to hanging out with that.”
50 Cent has also accused Diddy of being behind the murder of rap icon Tupac Shakur. Do you believe 50 Cent’s gut feeling about Sean Combs is justified?
